Abolish the Court to Establish Order

> OwenMerry (FM)

Anyone that was around when the General Court was first established remembers that it was done in such a secretive and controversial manner. Recently Colonel was expressed his opinion in court that he does not have to abide by the Bill of Rights and that the General Court does not need to follow the laws proposed by the citizenry. This makes the entire legal process pointless. What is the point in having a government if the citizens do not have input into what laws we are governed by? Frequently we have seen enemies of Colonel being unlawfully sanctioned and his friends go Scot free. We have created an authoritarian monster. Maybe that is going a bit too far. THEY have created an authoritarian monster.

Despite Tom Norton being an enemy to Republican party and he has many occasions tried to kick me out of whatever party I am in, he still deserves a fair trial by his peers. In his future court case this will not happen. If Colonel is not stopped, Titulia will no longer be a republic ruled by law but an oligarchy ruled by an elite group. Even Nazi war criminals get a fair trail.

I would recommend that the next president remove the judges from the court and get rid of the position of Attorney General. The AG currently refuses to bring his political allies to court. We need to establish new peoples courts ran by gentlemen agreements. I have consulted a leading organiser of a new Irish anarchist group on how a court could be created in a private society.

The peoples court would only deal with contract law and the civil actions. The plaintiff would register his complaint with the peoples court. Both the plaintiff and the defendant would pick a judge each. Those two judges then will agree on a third judge. The plaintiff and the defendant would each argue their case or have a representative do it for them. The judges will use the legislation as guidance for their judgment. A fine will be give in proportion to the damages caused. If their is no damages then their is no crime, thus prevent pointless laws being enforced.

If the defendant refuses to pay the fine, then he is branded as an outlaw and forbidden to join a political party, enter political office or conduct business with anyone. Anyone that allows the outlaw in their political party, government office or does business with, will be fined t$1,000 plus whatever profit is made from the transaction. Outlaws will be publicly named and shamed for all to see.

But who will be the judges? Any private citizen that is trustworthy can be act as a judge. All transcripts of the cases will be publish, thus citizens can check their judgments. If a bad judgment is made, citizens can chose not to select them.

This is a more honourable way to govern Titulia. Lack of government power is the ultimate checks and balances to prevent tyranny.
