TITULIA CITY (RNC Daily) | Without the Mods and Libs, we can get the party back on track. The Ideology War is over and the RNC can now operate as a Conservative, Center-right Party once more. That is what is wrong with the American Republican Party. That is what caused PA Sen. Arlen Specter to defect to the Dems. We need to be committed to being true conservatives. We need to be Ronald Reagan’s Republican Party; not Teddy Roosevelt’s. Under TR, the Repubs split and the Mods & Libs eventually defected to the Dems. Under Reagan, Repubs saw great gains and influence. They saw power and drank the chalice of glory and good governance. We all can’t be Dick Nixons, Gerry Fords or TRs. We need to be Reagans and Goldwaters. We need to be Mulrooneys and Thatchers. We need to be a Center-right Conservative Party. By doing so, we can achieve great things and great reforms.
